Cách viết câu General Statement trong ielts writing
1. General/Background statement là gì?
Đây là câu mở đầu tiên của bài essay và đóng vai trò là một câu dẫn dắt, giới thiệu cho người đọc biết chủ đề của bài viết là gì. Câu này có thể có hoặc không bao gồm context của câu hỏi chính!
- Nói về vai trò, tầm quan trọng, mức độ ảnh hưởng hoặc mức độ phổ biến của sự vật/sự việc
- Nói về bối cảnh hiện tại, xu hướng trong tương lai, hoặc so sánh sự vật/sự việc trong quá khứ và hiện tại
- Nói về sự quan tâm của công chúng, dư luận/chính phủ/quốc gia với về sự vật/ sự việc.
3.1. Question context 1: Advances in technology have meant that machines are increasingly used to do jobs that were previously done by humans.
- TOPICs: Advances in technology; Machines
- Sample Background statement : We are living in an age of fast-paced development. Thanks to technological advancements, new invention are constantly being produced that are supposed to help us.
- EXPLANATIONS - General statement viết về hai trong số các gợi ý phát triển ý ở trên: + Bối cảnh hiện tại của xã hội – Cấu trúc “ to live in an age of....” + Vai trò của “Advances in technology; Machines”

3.2. Question context 2: The migration of people to cities is one of the biggest problems facing the world’s cities today

- Sample Background statement: Since the industrial revolution, people across the globe have been attracted to the city from the countryside.

3.3. Question context 3: Tourism is developing at a fast pace and has unfortunately caused serious damages to the environment in many regions.

3.4. Question context 4: Many people believe that the high levels of violence in films today are causing serious social problems
